Every Saturday, 8 a.m. to noon, and Tuesdays, 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., from May through October on Downtown Greens.

The Lighting of the Green occurs each November.

Christmas Parade

The Town of Gibsonville Christmas Parade is the second Saturday in December at 2:00 p.m. 

Holiday Craft Market on the Green

The Holiday Craft Market on the Green occurs during the annual Christmas Parade.

Gibsonville Garden Railroad (GGRR)

On the Town Greens see our 2,200 linear foot outdoor Gibsonville Garden Railroad (GGRR) including Thomas the Train and fifteen different track layouts. Take the historic walking tour of the town on our miniature scale display of Gibsonville of 1855 and 1922.

We run on the 1st Saturday of the month between April and December from 9am to noon, weather permitting. See our Facebook for more information on special events.

Gibsonville Museum and Historical Society

Learn about Gibsonville's past, see exhibits of gold mining, textiles, education and the pioneers who built Gibsonville. The Gibsonville Museum is currently closed for renovations. For more information, see www.gmhsi.org.

Red Caboose Welcome Center & Train History Exhibit

Our Red Caboose is located downtown Gibsonville and is open daily, sunrise to sunset. This old train car contains various brochures and historic displays related to the railroad and Gibsonville. 

Sit in actual caboose conductor's seat; look out brakeman's window down the track, or read about the deadly train wreck just up the track. Discover how a caboose functioned and the reasons it carried torpedoes.

Historic Self-Guided Downtown Walking Tour & Exercise Trail

Find out more about people who built historic downtown Gibsonville and also get some exercise.

Begin at the Red Caboose on the Town Greens and travel back in time for a one-mile leisurely walk downtown.
